Welcome to our website – we hope you love MGs as much as we do! 😊. MG Cars have a long history, but even the new ones have a classic pedigree and the aim of our club is to welcome owners of any MG car, as well as other MG enthusiasts who perhaps owned a MG in the past or are looking to get one.

Our club currently has approximately forty members and meets at The St Johns Social Club in Stone each month. These are informal get-togethers and give you a chance to discuss technical issues or just chat generally.

The Aylesbury MG Club was formed and has been meeting since 1986. It was set up so that MG owners and enthusiasts could meet up regularly to discuss and enjoy their cars as much as possible – be it just chatting over a drink or attending some of the many events we arrange or support throughout the year. Members have a variety of MGs ranging from post-war models to modern MGs. Whilst owning one can be about getting oil on your hands, we believe that sharing good times with like-minded people is also good, so do come along and give us a try.

Our club is affiliated to the MG Car Club, the MG Owners Club and the Octagon Car Club. Whilst many of our members belong to these clubs, it is not a requirement.

Club Organisation

Aylesbury MG Club is mainly run informally with various members volunteering for event organisation as and when. Our main means of communication is a members’ WhatsApp group and we also have a public Facebook page. We have two members with a more formal role: our President and Treasurer as below:

Clive Wayland

President

Clive was the founding member of the Aylesbury MG Club in April 1986. Having had several Bs and BGTs, and a ZR, over the last 40 plus years, his current car, for the last 16 years, is a 1965 white MGB. He is a retired college lecturer, and now repairs guitars and chauffeurs at weddings when not on grandad duty. He is also the regional secretary for the MGOC

Jack Martin

Treasurer

Jack joined the Aylesbury MG club in 1990. Since then he has served as a committee member in many different roles. Jack purchased his first MG as a restoration project in 1984. As part of this process he taught himself to weld and spray paint. Having fully restored two further MG’s, he is now the proud owner of 5 MG cars and is currently restoring an MGB V8.
